Originally set up with CBS for a series commitment in 2020, it was canceled just before the first episode was filmed due to COVID. Now, it has been picked up by Netflix for a 10-episode first season based on Mickey Haller’s second book, The Brass Verdict.

Mickey Haller has several cars, all with personalized California license plates with legal terms. The personalized California license plates allow for a maximum of seven letters/numbers, but all of Mickey’s license plates have at least eight.
I don’t understand why there are any bad reviews
For those of us who enjoy legal/police/detective stories, this was perfect. I couldn’t stop watching and was sorely tempted to give it an even higher star rating… (I may go back and change it, but I’m generally stingy about that sort of thing.) Basically everything I’ve read or seen by Michael Connelly has been very good.
